Seligenstadt

Seligenstadt is located about 30 km east of Frankfurt on the Hessian side, i.e. on the left bank of the Main. The town has more than 25,000 inhabitants. Seligenstadt was founded around 100 AD by the troops of the Roman Emperor Trajan, and numerous artefacts from this period have been found.

The first written mention dates from around 815, the time of Charlemagne and his advisor and biographer Einhard. Einhard also built the Einhard Basilica and the local Benedictine monastery.

The town centre has much to offer in terms of historic buildings, culture and other sights. Our hotel is located in this time-honoured setting on the edge of the old town.

You can find out more about the town and its half-timbered houses on the official website of the town of Seligenstadt: Tourism | Seligenstadt am Main.

The convenient location near the A3 motorway and Frankfurt am Main allows you to easily reach all the interesting places in this business and financial centre while still staying in a peaceful setting away from the bustle of the big city.
